Feb. 12: Live City

5.
4.  This is a projector that plays videos on a huge tent. this tent is a Coca-Cola museum.
3.
2. This is the big screen (there's two of them and a stage in the middle for other events) at Live City
1. This lineup was almost 3 blocks long and we had to wait 1 hour and a half to get in.

Happy Valentine's Day! It's so hard to keep the blog up to date because I'm so busy. Here's some pictures of Live City from Friday. I bet everybody has herd of Nodar Kumaritasvili's death on a practice run on the luge course. Of course this a tragic and horrible Olympic event but I think that the IOC over-reacted a bit by bringing the mens starting area lower because it really was a freak accident.

  1. It is great that you got to watch the opening ceremony on a large screen with a large group of people. These big public events are best enjoyed with a crowd of spectators.

It is hard to keep a journal up to date when you are busy. It takes setting aside a special time each day.

I am waiting to read what you thought of the opening ceremony. What was your favourite part. What Canadian values did it celebrate?

How did you feel about the Georgian luger who crashed and died?

I am also waiting for a picture of Aunt Di! I bet she is shy to have you take her picture.

  2. Hi Dylan Nice pictures. It looks awesome. I am glad you can make time for us to share your special trip. The horse is funny. Make sure you read your comments. Grandpa is watching your blog closely.

Erik's blog and another site might indicate where he is stationed. Maybe if your nearby you can stop and say hi. It's funny your next door neighbour is so close.

Travis says the people riding look like they are carrying the horses tail on a stick. The dragon dancers are scary looking. Have fun tommorrow at the events. Talk to you soon.

    Love Dad, Trav, Liv
