Feb. 16: The Hockey Game

On the left, #88 Patrick Kane. In the middle, #9 Zach Parise and finally #15 Phil Kessel.
Players shaking hands after the game.
Not the best pictures but OUCH!!!

The hockey game at the GM Place was awesome! The United States defeated Switzerland 3-1 which was a much better game than I anticipated. I saw lots of N.H.L. stars like Jonas Miller (Swiss goalie), and Patrick Kane, Phil Kessel and all the others. Here are the pictures.

  1. Wow!! It looks like you got pretty close to the bench to take the pics. Your mom and I are pleasantly surprised at how much you liked the game. We look forward to hearing from you after your luge experience. The ride up there is long but really scenic. Keep the pictures coming people seem to be really excited to share the experience with you through the blog. Good job updating.

  2. One more thing... Mrs. Fraser was very excited to hear you were going to attend the curling tomorrow. She said if you got a picture near/with Kevin Martin it might help your science mark in the future. Ha Ha

    Bye for now

  3. I am so proud of the efforts you are making to share this awesome experience with all of us. I have been keeping my friends and colleagues informed as well. I just spoke with dad and we were laughing about your voice changing while you are away….lol

Glad the hockey game was more than you anticipated. I was thrilled to hear that you will be going to see the Curling tomorrow as well.

  4. Nice pictures. You seem to have good seats above center ice. It will be interesting to see how Canada does against the Swiss.

Do I sense a spit loyalty from you, an "Ameradian", with duel US/Canda citizenship? :)

Thanks for sharing your photos - that is quite the adventure you are having! We are trying to keep your mom busy at work so that she doesn't spend all of her time missing you like crazy.

She is so excited for you............keep that camera snapping photos and have a blast! When you get home you can share all of those photos with your parents and get them to share their Vegas photos too.......

  8. Dylan, you are doing such a great job with your blog. I am really enjoying it and all the photos you're sending. Your hockey seats were obviously good which makes the experience even nicer. Great you'll see some curling. That is one of the sports I enjoy on TV although I'm a lousy curler myself. I don't think the skill required for this sport is always appreciated. Tonight I've watched both male and female short track speed skaters. They are very good so our chances for a medal are excellent in those events. I hope to see the Maple Leaf rising at the medal presentations many more times. It's a stirring event. Have you been to a medal presentation? Looking forward to your next post. Love, Aunt Penny
